Ashley, a native of Old Forge, was working as a receptionist in Wilkes-Barre, when her mother Carol started experiencing symptoms of dementia. As her condition worsened, Ashley felt very reluctant to send her mother to a nursing home, where she didn't know if she'd be able to provide her the level of care and the compassion she deserved. She found a part time position working from home so that her mother could live with her and she could provide her care directly. With only the part time position though, finances were tough.
